Mike led our Scottish winter mountaineering expedition over February half term. The students absolutely loved it and since recovering from their exhaustion haven't stopped talking about it. I completely trust Mike to deliver a safe and challenging trip in a very complex environment. His manner with the students combined with his enthusiasm and professional skills are second to none. I can't recommend him highly enough. Thanks again Mike, same time same place next year??

Would like to say a big thanks to Mike 'Bradders' Bradford for taking the time out of his busy schedule to help guide and lead us around Scotland, we probably would have got lost if it wasn't for him. Anything you needed to know or were unsure about he could give you the right advice (or friendly banter depending on how he felt that day). Hope you enjoyed putting up with us Michael, we sure did from everyone at Queen Elizabeths. From Mr. L.Taylor
P.S hope the lemons are lasting well.

Thanks Mike for running a very successful abseil event at Burlescombe church tower on Saturday. Yet again we greatly appreciated your efficiency and high regard to safety. All the abseilers and supporters really enjoyed the day. We would definitely recommend you to others.

Mike Bradford alias 'Action-Man' was our P.E. instructor, he introduced me to canoeing back in 1980. It represents the best thing I got out of School. (I stopped paddling due to ill health in 2006) He is a legend. Don't mention our hitch-hiking to Dulverton, when we should have walked, we were keen. Seriously, you're unlikely to get a safer guide. 100% Action-man; thanks Mike

Hi MikeJust to say... thank you for a fabulous week kayaking around the Scillies (Sept 2011). It was a great trip with a lovely fun group, stunning scenery, dolphins, seals, and to cap it all gorgeous pasties and cake.
I was amazed to discover how much water you can cover in a day and you gave me such confidence and encouragement to paddle in all states of the sea.
Thanks again and I would thoroughly recommend you and your trips to anyone you has a sense of adventure in their heart and a passion for the natural world. I hope to join you on another adventure in the future, so please keep me posted. Sally

Thanks for a wonderful week in the Scillies Mike. I'll never forget rounding Annet in that Atlantic swell, or the seemingly endless crossing between Samson and St Agnes in the fog. You took us to some amazing places, and were calm and professional in your approach. Lovely to see seals, dolphins, and so many wild birds. I feel so much more confident about sea kayaking. The ice creams on St Agnes were a delight!

Mike, thank you for the most fantastic autumn kayaking trip around the Scillies. It's an interesting experience putting your safety into the hands of someone you don't know but on that first long crossing in the mist I had the utmost confidence that you would get us to the other side and hit UK land and not America; and you did. Thank you for all the 'top tips' on the way too, my paddling technique and edging are so much better now.
We had a lot of fun and I would love to go on another trip with you.
To anyone looking at this site, I would recommend a trip with Mike because he is an excellent guide, but would fully recommend the Scillies because they are stunning; all the beautiful scenery with the added bonus of there being no midges! Thanks again Mike, maybe Norway next year?

Just back from a brilliant week paddling in Scillies - sunshine, big waves, seals, dolphins and lots of pasties.Mike led the group brilliantly - quiet but effective coaching, encouraging everyone to push their limits, and we all came back better paddlers than when we started. And it was a lot of fun. Highly recommended!

I've just got back from a fantastic expedition sea kayaking around the Isles of Scilly. I think everybody should do a voyage like this - not just because of the exercise and the stunning scenery, but the camaraderie of the group. Everybody was such a good sport and we felt like a team from very early on. Mike's calm and patient attitude instilled confidence into everyone and his love of what he does is heart-warming. There's a lot to see and do out there, and Mike will lead you to it, then round it, up it, through it, and even into it...! For me it was a perfect holiday and I will be booking again. Thanks Mike!
